Educators are influential professionals who work collaboratively with colleagues and make important decisions for the students in their care. Catholic, public, charter, and private schools are all contributors in meeting the diverse needs of the students served. A career in education will utilize an individual’s unique talents and has many opportunities for professional advancement. Teaching is often the gateway profession to careers in education as diverse as specialized teaching areas, counseling, administration, curriculum specialists, facilities management, and accounting.
For a career in education upon graduation, complete all the requirements for both degree and certification. If pursuing other interests, consider education courses as electives. Liberal arts interests often lead to teaching for a few years or for a lifetime. |
