Faculty Development & Evaluation
A. Rationale for Evaluation
- To enhance the mission of the University and the effectiveness of its faculty, and to be accountable to its constituents, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, through the deans and chairs, administers an annual evaluation of all full-time faculty.
- This program serves two purposes:
i. to improve faculty performance by providing feedback for self-assessment and personal professional growth;
ii. to provide a basis for equitable, impartial decisions regarding retention, promotion, tenure and merit pay.
