| Congratulations on being accepted to the University of St. Thomas! On behalf of the Admissions Office and International Student Office we wish to extend to you our warmest welcome.
This handbook is designed to help you achieve your academic goals and to live comfortably in our community. Please note that we have not attempted to answer every possible question about international student regulations, life on campus, and life in the United States in this handbook. This handbook is written primarily for the F-1 student, however, it is our hope that all other International Students will benefit from the information presented in the handbook. We hope that after reading this handbook, you will have a general overview of what to expect being an international student at the University of St. Thomas.
If you need any further advice, assistance, or information, please contact the International Student Advisor, 713-525-3503. Regular office hours are Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Summer office hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 a.m., and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Communication by the International Student Office to students is mostly by e-mail. You are expected to check your e-mail. Through e-mail, you will receive immigration notices, personal notices, notices from professors, and notices of social events.
