Health Insurance Information
The health and well being of our students is of the utmost importance. Therefore, all full-time F-1 international students are to have health insurance coverage. This policy was enacted to help prevent students from experiencing an interruption in their academic progress due to large unexpected medical bills. Health Insurance must meet the following requirements:
- Medical benefits of at least $50,000 per accident or illness
- Repatriation of remains in the amount of $75,000 (If a person dies in a foreign country, he or she is "repatriated" when his or her body is returned to the native country. Repatriation insurance is used for transportation expenses related to returning the deceased to his or her native country.)
- Expenses associated with medical evacuation of the student to the home country of up to $10,000
- A deductible not to exceed $500 per accident or illness that meets other standards specified in the regulations

Proof of health insurance coverage must be submitted to the International Student Advisor before the beginning of the semester. Failure to comply with this policy will result in an administrative hold being placed on the student's record. This hold will prevent the student from registering for classes, dropping or adding courses, and receiving transcripts and grades
