Parish Scholarship Program
The University of St. Thomas and participating Parishes of the Galveston-Houston Diocese jointly sponsor the Parish Scholarship Program, which provides full or partial scholarships to students who attend the University of St. Thomas. This shared scholarship program is offered to encourage more Archdiocesan youth to pursue their college education in a Catholic environment where they can continue to strengthen their faith and prepare to become active and supportive parishioners after graduation.
A parish contribution in any amount up to $10,000 annually per parish will be matched by UST.
Eligible students may be freshmen, continuing UST students or transfer students who maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA, enroll for a full time load each semester and meet all other University scholarship guidelines, up to a maximum of 126 credits.
Students must be members of a participating Parish. Students and/or Parishes who would like information on participating in the parish scholarship program should contact the Scholarship and Financial aid office at 713/525-2170.
